Educator, Women’s Empowerment Poetry: Morel Benard

To create is a wonderful activity, writing academic essays can also be creative but writing poetry and short stories is even more satisfying. I would like to encourage everyone to take part in a creative pursuit, it could be playing drums, crafting pottery, designing clothes, doing photography,  writing stories. My name is Morel Benard and I am a creative being, my work falls under the category of poetry, though some people might call me a social commentator. I don’t care too much for titles, but since I do often write using rhythm and rhyme, I will accept the title of: Poet. Taking part in creative pursuits can help to stretch the mind, it can lead to people having a different perspective on life.

Morel’s Poetry:

I write poetry to educate and to entertain readers and listeners (audio books). I make no attempt to talk about the rudiments of poetry, I don’t set out to teach how to write poetry. I simply write from different perspectives and welcome critical friends to analyse my style. I write about social issues, to help adults reflect and to understand issues and I write to teach and to entertain young people. I find it very therapeutic to write nursery rhymes for young readers. When writing for adults I don’t shy away from writing about sensitive topics, you might therefore find me to be outspoken, but I do hope that what I have to say will have some positive impact on lives.

Rhymes: Poetry for Children

It is purely by accident that I began writing poetry for kids, but there is a theory that nothing is an accident, somewhere in my sub-conscious or unconscious mind, I must have been working on the idea of writing for young people. When writing for kids, I like to help to raise a smile, depending on the subject matter. I have many books to write for young people and I look forward to getting the books published. From carrying out a brief search I believe that there is room for more books on topics such as: bullying, identity, race, emotions, maturation, differences, friendship, love.

There was a man name Able

He really was far from capable

He couldn’t count

Couldn’t do his sums

Poor incapable Able

Morel Benard Poetry & Social Media:

I am based in the UK but have yet to grace the poetry stage in London and other cities, having said this I am blissfully happy to present my poetry through Books, Kindle, Podcasts, Radio, Social Media and other channels.

Inspiration for Poetry:

I get inspired when I take walks, I usually go for a long walk and somewhere on route or when returning from the walk I get an idea for a poem. I scribble the idea and then later develop the idea into a piece of poetry. Sometimes, the initial idea is set aside because a new idea gets born. I love the process, sometimes I get a spark for a poetry idea when trying to sleep, this usually result in going to bed late, but it is all good. I can then sleep soundly knowing that I have the basis of a poem.

Morel Benard and Study Coach:

My name is linked to Study Coach, and this is for good reason, because I run Study Coach. What is Study Coach? The answer is that Study Coach provides an academic service to support University students with essays and dissertation. Study Coach is not an essay mill, students draft their own assignments and submit the work to Study Coach for feedback. You will find a landing page titled: Morel’s Poetry on the Study Coach website. You will find short pieces of poetic work on the page.  When poetry books are due to be published I will give updates via Morel’s Poetry page. The next book to be published will be Poetry for Children/Kids. Please find a link below for the Morel’s Poetry page.
