Poetry Valentines, Poet: Morel
February is a lovely month, it is the month for Love (Valentines). Some of us might be in love, others might not care for love and some of us might be in search of love. There are many factors that can impact on how we perceive matters surrounding Valentines, in the poem ‘Love Rights’ our Young Thing, is likely to perceive the event negatively.
I write poetic ideas to express a point of view, I write on a diverse range of topics, and I don’t shy away from sensitive and political subjects. In due course I will publish more poetry on Amazon.
Love Rights
Love rights are part of human rights
We need a flame to set our hearts alight
If the flame dies we could be scared for life
And young passion as we know can quickly die
This young thing now has a broken heart
He’s torn inside and loss the will for life
Can the heart be mended, they say give it time
But our young thing feels like life is drifting by
Will he learn to trust again, to love again
Can true love be rediscovered in someone else
Well, he’s young and we hope that in time
Someone special will enter his young life
